"If Donald Trump Gave You His Spirit, Would You Be As Erratic?" SEEK FIRST
"Seek First" is a platform inspired from Matthew 6:33 where we are encouraged to Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, live righteously, and everything we need will be given to us.
Our objective is to show you the practicality of this verse and hopefully inspire you to seek Him first daily. We use the S.O.A.P model as a study guide to help fulfill this mandate. We pick different scriptures and try to figure out how we can apply them to our daily lives, how they relate to the Kingdom of God and how we can live righteously through them. (S)cripture:
1 Corinthians 2:11-12 (NLT) "No one can know a person's thoughts except that person's own spirit, and no one can know Gods Thoughts except Gods own Spirit. And we have received Gods Spirit (not the worlds spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us"
(O)bservation:
I believe this is probably one of the reasons Donald Trump won the U.S election, people felt closer to him because he rarely filtered thoughts, and that gave them insights into his spirit. Unlike his predecessors who for the sake of political correctness would say the right things to get into office, but their thoughts and spirits believed something totally different.
Can you imagine if a State in America received Donald Trumps spirit? In due time, they would begin manifesting his values & ideologies, they would automatically begin to have access to the tax records we haven't seen, they would have more insight into his marriage, his business practices etc...basically they would know more about Trump than anyone else.
In the same way, this verse says "...and we have received Gods Spirit, so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us". This is an awesome verse, God has given us His Spirit!!! Let that sink in for a bit...Isaiah 55:8 says "My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts says the Lord, and My ways are far beyond anything you can imagine. Just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts"
We now have access to" Higher Thoughts & Ways", we can now know the deep things of God, His secrets...we now have access to the Mind that created the entire universe, and He lives in us WOW!!!
This gives me so much confidence to approach whatever problems i am facing, because whatever cannot stop God, can't stop me...I have His Spirit!!!
(A)pplication:
John 6:63 says "...and the very words I have spoken to you are Spirit and Life"
We receive Gods Spirit through His Words...Galatians 3:2 says "Let me ask you this one question: Did you receive the Holy Spirit by obeying the law of Moses? Of course not! You received the Spirit because you believed the message you heard about Christ" (Words make up a Message)
Action Plan: You need to Believe the message about Christ first, if you've never heard it before, you can watch this short video that helps illustrate the message
Seek to know more about God, His thoughts & His Ways are revealed through scripture and nature. Look around you, nothing makes much sense if you really think about it...if you are laying a bed or sitting on a chair right now...the wood came from a tiny seed, a tiny seed that was dropped into the ground and somehow grew into a a huge tree that then became something we have gotten too used to seeing. There is someone at work around us, someone very intelligent...you can have access to that intelligence if you simply admit He exists and would like to know Him. Only a proud fool would decline this offer!!!
(P)rayer:
Thank You for Your Spirit Father, it is obvious i haven't really optimised this great gift You have given me...I ask that You give me the Grace to never forget that I have You every second of every day. I have access to Uncommon Wisdom, to thoughts and ways that are far beyond my human comprehension, help me remain foolish enough to depend on You, please take away any form of pride in my heart, I know NOTHING Father, fill me with Your Wisdom in Jesus Name!!!
