Are Christians Guilty Of Putting A Full Stop (.) Where A Comma (,) Should Be?

"Seek First" is a platform inspired from Matthew 6:33 where we are encouraged to Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, live righteously, and everything we need will be given to us.

Our objective is to show you the practicality of this verse and hopefully inspire you to seek Him first daily. We use the S.O.A.P model as a study guide to help fulfill this mandate. We pick different scriptures and try to figure out how we can apply them to our daily lives, how they relate to the Kingdom of God and how we can live righteously through them. (S)cripture:

Romans 8:15-16 (MSG) "This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It's adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike 'What's next, Papa?' Gods Spirit touches our spirits and confirms who we really are. We know who He is, and we know who we are: Father and children..."

(O)bservation:

"What's next, Papa?"
These 3 words contain a Powerful question that every true Believer should ask regularly.
It's a question we usually ask ourselves when a task has either been completed, or an instruction has been fully obeyed. Our daily lives are filled with moments like these, nobody goes to work just to do one task. Work is a series of "What next?" moments.

As Christians, our lives should be a series of "What next?" moments that starts with a leap of faith, we don't need to see the whole picture before we take the first step, we just need to know that the Father has given an instruction.

Abraham displayed this, when he obeyed Gods instruction to leave his people, he then went on a series of "What next?" moments that became a lifetime of adventure with God.

If we had such Christians in our world, i can only imagine the sort of impact we'd be making right now, but the verse also gives us insight into why a lot of us aren't really fulfilling our potential.
We are either timid (lacking in self assurance and courage, easily alarmed, shy) or living a grave-tending (just waiting for Jesus to come back so we can go to Heaven) life.

What this means in essence is that, Christians are putting a Full Stop (.) where their Comma (,) should be...we are living like we have already reached a destination, not realising we are on a journey, an adventure that should keep us expectant with the Creator of the Universe.

Have a picture of Indiana Jones when you think of what your life should look like in Christ...all you need are your tools & weapons with a map for your next mission.

WEAPONS: (Ephesians 6:13-18 MSG) "...Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it's all over but the shouting you'll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You'll need them throughout your life. Gods word is an indispensable weapon..."

MAP: (Hebrews 11:1 NLT) "Faith SHOWS (like a map) the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see"

I started writing just over a month ago and the feedback so far has been amazing, but what most people don't know is, I should have started this 3years ago, i was timid, distracted, lacked courage. I used to run a news aggregation website then, and i remember the Holy Spirit telling me to stop collecting content from other people, but to create my own content instead, i ignored it until 5weeks ago when i finally got the courage to start. Everyday, He hasn't failed to give me fresh content, i am constantly in "What next?" mode

What about you? What have you been procrastinating about? What are you too afraid to start?

Here's what i did!!!

I asked myself a question? What are the top 7 things i want to be remembered for when i die? Being an author was one of them - using words to change lives. The more i focused on these 7 things, the more my desires began to outgrow my fears. Nobody becomes an author overnight, so i knew blogging would be a good way to practice for the big goal. So i started!!!

What are the top 7 things you want to be remembered for? What are you doing right now to prepare for them? Start and begin your adventure of "What next?" with God

(P)rayer:

Heavenly Father, I thank You because You have already gone ahead of me to perfect the way. I come against every spirit of fear and doubt because i know that with You, all things are possible. Give me the courage to face my other goals with Your Love, let lives destined for failure make a U-turn as they hear from You through me in Jesus Name. I also pray for everyone who is currently struggling with an instruction you've given them, i ask that what they've read today will give them the courage they need to complete it, so that they can ask "What's next, Father?" in Jesus Name!!!
